Locate the OBD port
Find the vehicle’s OBD port under the driver-side dashboard, usually above the brake pedal or near the hood-release lever. The image shows the standard 16-pin OBD port; confirm the location in the vehicle manual.
Select the parking delay
Set the cable’s switch: P = 3 minutes, I = 5 minutes, II = 10 minutes of no movement before parking mode. Movement before the delay ends resets the timer, helping avoid a parking-mode switch at traffic lights.
Plug in the OBD cable
Align the IIWEY OBD connector with the port and insert it securely. It fits in one direction only; do not force it.
Connect the dash cam
Plug the Type-C / USB-C end into the dash cam and check that the camera powers on correctly.
Route and conceal the cable
Start at the dash cam. Use cable clips along the top of the windshield, then a trim tool to tuck the cable into the headliner edge. Follow the A-pillar and driver-side door weatherstrip toward the footwell. Bundle and secure excess cable beneath the dashboard. Keep all wiring clear of airbags and their deployment paths, pedals, steering parts and moving components.
Set up parking mode
If supported, enable Time-Lapse Recording, select 1 FPS and choose a duration of 24 hours or longer. For other parking-mode options and model-specific settings, follow the dash cam manual.
