01

Locate the interior fuse box

Find the interior fuse box using the vehicle manual. Typical locations shown: beside the dashboard, below the steering wheel, or behind the glovebox. Turn off the ignition before removing or replacing fuses. Follow the vehicle manual, including its instructions for disconnecting the negative battery terminal.

02

Understand the wiring

Yellow BAT: constant power, live even with the ignition OFF. Red ACC: accessory power, live in ACC or ON and off with the ignition OFF, depending on the vehicle. Black GND: chassis ground. The USB-C output connects to the dash cam. Confirm both power circuits with a circuit tester or multimeter.

03

Test constant-power and ACC circuits

Use the vehicle fuse diagram. If unavailable, search for the vehicle make, model and year plus ‘fuse box diagram’. Names are only clues: lighter, radio, audio, windows or display may be ACC; battery, door locks, alarm, OBD or interior lights may be constant power. Test each circuit; behavior varies by vehicle.

Choose suitable non-critical circuits, never airbag, ABS or other safety circuits. Keep the original fuse rating, use the fuse specified for the kit and respect the fuse tap’s capacity.

Connect the tester clip to verified chassis ground; the pictured door latch is only an example. With ignition OFF, ACC should be off and BAT should remain live. In ACC or ON, the ACC tester light should come on. Do not rely on circuit names alone.

04

Choose the matching fuse type

Match the original vehicle fuse: Mini, ATO (regular), Low-Profile Mini or Micro2. Use the corresponding fuse tap and fuse supplied with the kit.

05

Prepare the fuse taps

Insert the supplied fuse into the dash cam fuse slot shown in the diagram. Leave the original vehicle fuse slot empty for now. Connect the fuse taps to the red and yellow wires and fully cover the connections with insulating sleeves.

06

Transfer the original fuses

Turn off the ignition and photograph the fuse box before removing fuses. Remove one selected fuse at a time and complete that circuit before starting the other.

Place the original fuse in the original-vehicle-circuit slot shown. In the diagram: green = dash cam circuit, red = original vehicle circuit. Connect the ACC fuse tap to the red wire and the constant-power fuse tap to the yellow wire.

07

Install the fuse taps

Insert each assembled fuse tap into the slot from which its original fuse was removed. Verify the insertion direction so that each circuit is protected by its own fuse.

08

Connect the ground wire

Secure the black GND terminal to a suitable chassis ground bolt. Ensure firm contact with clean, unpainted metal.

09

Route the cable and test power

Follow the routing diagram, keeping the cable clear of airbags and their deployment paths, pedals, steering parts and moving components. Connect USB-C to the dash cam. Turn on the ignition and confirm that the camera powers on and starts recording.

10

Enable parking mode

Open the dash cam’s System Settings and enable Time-Lapse Recording. Menu names and available options vary by model; follow the camera’s manual.
